Union County Public School Superintendent Patricia Sheffer recently received the Southeast Inter-Mountain Region Community Supporter of the Year Award from MTC Vice-President Dean Hoffman. She met with Earle C. Clements Job Corps Center Director Jeff Barton and VP Dean Hoffman last Thursday where she was surprised with the recognition.
“Union County Public School Superintendent Patricia Sheffer has been a staunch supporter of the local community, the Job Corps program, as well as providing and ensuring the very best education for every student within the Union County Public School System,” said Director Barton. “Mrs. Sheffer represents the gold standard of education, community support and caring about the future of today’s youth.”
Sheffer was chosen as the winner from all of the nominations submitted in the Southeast Inter-Mountain Region which covers 18 states. Sheffer was nominated by ECC BCL Nyra Syers-Ford for her committed partnership between Union County Public Schools and Clements Job Corps.
