The UCHS Personal Finance Class participated in the Stock Market Game sponsored by the Kentucky Council on Economic Education. The SMG involved investing $100,000 in the stock market for a semester. The classes were divided in to 7 teams of 3 and competed on a state level as well as a regional level. One of the UCHS teams finished first in the region! The contest lasted the whole first semester. One of the Stock Market Game's local sponsors was Hilliard Lyons Investments.
