Jackson named UCHS Principal

Union County Public Schools superintendent Particia Sheffer announced this week that Evan Jackson has been selected principal at Union County High School. Jackson replaced Robyn Thacker who resigned effective June 30.

Jackson, who most recently has served as assistant principal at Union County Middle School, holds a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Oral Roberts University; a Master of Arts in Education Administration form Murray State University and is currently working toward a Doctor of Eduction degree in Educational Leadership from Western Kentucky University.
In addition to serving as UCMS assistant principal for two years, Jackson also served as a curriculum specialist for the district and was the band director. From 2004 to 2008, he was a music educator in Webster County.

Jackson and his wife Christin and two children Juliana and Josiah live in Morganfield where they are members of Grace Fellowship Church. He serves on a music ministry team there and teaches a Sunday school class.

Jackson is a graduate of Union County High School.
